Safety and security are the top priorities for the organizers of and participants in Hawgsmoke 2010, just as it is every day, in all Air Force operations. With that in mind, access for the news media will be limited to journalists with proper credentials only.

You may be asked to provide additional information if we cannot readily establish your credentials.

All foreign journalists must possess a valid I-visa to acquire the proper credentials to cover Hawgsmoke 2010. The I-visa stamp will need to be present on your passport, which will need to be presented to public affairs specialists at Hawgsmoke 2010 in order to receive Hawgsmoke credentials.

The 124th Fighter Wing Office of Public Affairs welcomes and even encourages members of the media to cover Hawgsmoke 2010. Our goal is to provide as much access as we can for working media to capture images, conduct interviews and record video. However, the 442nd FW public affairs office can only provide members of the press with better access if we know you are coming to Hawgsmoke, which is why members of the media are asked to fill out the attached Media Questionnaire. This will provide us the information so that we can work to get the access you are looking for before Hawgsmoke starts Oct. 13.

Hawgsmoke 2010 is dedicated to bringing A-10 professionals together from across the entire U.S. Air Force, Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard for three days to share and develop tactics, procedures and techniques to better employ the A-10 in combat; enhance morale and camaraderie in the A-10 community; pay homage to the airplane’s heritage; as well as recognize the best of the best in an aerial gunnery and bombing competition.
