1. The first flight on station for the day will dictate the profile to be flown, unless weather prevents this. In that case, your flight will fly the highest profile weather allows: Primary, Weather Backup or Low Show. For example, if the first flight cannot do the primary due to clouds but can do the weather backup, then all subsequent flights will do the weather backup unless the weather gets worse and forces the low show.
2. After landing, each pilot will write down (as a back up) the following release parameters from the weapons release data LASTE menu: time, release dive angle, release airspeed and release altitude. Each pilot will also tape the Weapons Data Display (Auto Scroll). When entering the squadron, all participants will hand their mission materials to a member of the Hawgsmoke judging team. Quibbling will result in 50 points added to your score.
3. All pilots will complete the entire profile as published. A hung bomb is considered a dry pass.
4. You must have film with the appropriate Tape Title format, to include: Pilot name, date, tail #, alibis. No tape title will add 50 points to your score. No film means your scores will not be considered for the competition.
5. All bomb passes will be on Target 135 (conventional target). Primary strafe will be on the rags using the 4K Wind-Corrected Gun Cross. If the rags are closed, LAS/LRS (5K CEASE) will be performed on targets 16 and 17 (remember 3000' cease fire on hard targets!). 1 wings level high and dry pass is allowed between events to check winds or to set up a pattern.
6. When #4 completes his last pass, a 3 minute and 30 second hack will start. At the end of 3 minutes and 30 seconds, the entire flight will cross the strafe pits at 500 AGL in an echelon right formation on a 340 heading.
7. Total time limit for the BSA portion is 35 Minutes, including the flyover of the pits. The clock starts when lead 1st calls "Base, high and dry". At the expiration of 35 minutes, scores will no longer be considered for the competition.

- For bombs, each pilot starts with 0 points. Points will be added/accumulated for buffoonery and LOW score overall will be the winner. DTC printout will be used for all parameter grading and RMM will be reviewed and cross checked against auto data. Bomb scores will NOT BE announced, only hits on LAS up to 30 will be called over the radio (see below for strafe competition specifics).
- 150 points possible for each Bomb: Your score starts at 0.
- Accumulations to your score start with your bomb score. (Example 20 meter bomb adds 20 points to your total).
- Any Training Rule Violation will result in a 150 point added. (Example outside +5 degrees steep).
- No attempt at SEM is 150 total points added per bomb.
- Incomplete SEM on climbing is 25 points added per degree of error (Example: hitting only 28 degrees nose high, 50 points added. For TLT's a 3.9 G SEM is 25 points added). On TLT SEM's, a diving TVV below the horizon will result in 150 points added. If your TVV and goes above 3 degrees nose high, 25 points per degree above 3 will be added to your score.
- SEM's will be graded off of the HUD tape.
- Outside of +/- 25 knots of battlebook delivery airspeed adds 1 point per knot to your total.
- Greater than 5 degrees shallow adds 1 point per degree shallow to total.
- A dry pass is 150 points added.
- Any pickle with MRS "buried" or "X" in the pipper is 150 points added.
- Any pickle below abort altitude (for HARS deliveries) equals 150 points added.
- Your strafe score starts at 1000, and can go no higher with fouls, dry passes, etc. 1 bullet hit will detract 10 points from your score.
- Your rounds counter will be set by the pilot and verified by the arming crew.
- You must attempt to get at least 30 hits from LAS on the 1st pass using 4K Wind-Corrected Gun Cross. If the pilot gets 30 hits on the 1st pass, the ranger will call "Hit". If the pilot gets less than 30 hits, the ranger will call "Miss".
- If a pilot gets 30 hits from LAS on the 1st pass, he can continue shooting LAS. If a pilot gets less than 30 hits on his 1st pass of LAS, he must transition to LRS (5K CEASE) with the remainder of his bullets.
- 3 passes with WD are required for strafe. A dry pass of strafe will result in 500 points added.
- No two target strafe allowed.
- 500 points will be added if the RCO calls a "foul".
- Team Maverick: Maverick is a team event, no awards will be given individually in this event. At brief time, each team member will be given an envelope labeled A, B, C, or D (Flight lead gets A, 2 gets B, etc.) A 15 minute TOT will begin at the END of your scheduled range time. At the end of your range time, you will be directed to open ONE of the envelopes which will have in it your Maverick tasking. JSTARS will be tracking 4 vehicles at MGRS coordinates. You are cleared to engage at the start of your 15 minute TOT. You can use any altitude you would like down to the down to the 500 foot min alt set in the maverick menu. You can use SADL in whatever means the flight lead deems necessary. There are no attack restrictions. All envelopes will be turned in after the sortie. Any envelopes opened that were not required for the tasking will result in max points for the flight team. Points for the event are as follows:
- Each pilot must fire 1 maverick at 1 target. All 4 vehicles must be targeted and "double taps" are not allowed. Each team member starts with 100 total points and can get points deducted within the following ROE.
- First pass NFOV, steady pointing cross lock on target with TVM screen disappearing at pickle is 100 point deduction.
- WFOV is not a valid lock/launch, 0 points deducted from total.
- Flashing Pointing Cross is not a valid lock/launch, 0 points deducted from total.
- 100 point added to each minute any member of the team is past the 10 minute TOT.
- Any re-attack will limit the point deduction to 50 max.
- Min alt will be set to 500 feet for all players, regardless of low or medium altitude maverick, a pickle with an "X" on the maverick reticle is 0 points deducted from total.
- Hit wrong target or target that has been destroyed already, 0 points deducted from total.
